Derek Mink

Vice President

Derek Mink joined Grey Rock Investment Partners in 2021 and is the Vice President working on the Firm’s Net Zero Opportunities and Natural Resources investment funds.

Previously, Mr. Mink was with energy research and consultancy firm Wood Mackenzie as a Managing Consultant.  There he served as the product advisor for the Analytics Lab Bakken Data Consortium.  He also led and executed consulting projects in support of energy investment teams, U.S. domestic operators, and major oil and gas companies.  Additionally, Mr. Mink spent over eleven years with Pioneer Natural Resources in supervisory and senior analyst roles within geoscience and engineering.  His experiences included execution operations analysis, process improvement, and data management, predominately related to the Permian Basin area. 

Mr. Mink holds a B.A. from Boston University, an M.S. in Geospatial Information Science from the University of Texas at Dallas, and an M.B.A. from Southern Methodist University where he was a Kyle Miller Energy Scholar.
