Matt Ranta

Matt Ranta is Vice President of Investments at Grey Rock Investment Partners managing the Natural Resources and Net Zero Opportunities funds. Mr. Ranta focuses on financial modeling, new deal origination, investment due diligence, portfolio company management, and portfolio valuation.

Previously, Mr. Ranta worked in the Energy Finance Group at Prudential Capital. During his tenure at Prudential Capital, he focused on structuring and underwriting private credit, mezzanine, and equity investments for companies across the energy industry. Prior to Prudential Capital, Mr. Ranta worked as an equity research analyst covering midstream oil & gas companies at Robert W. Baird & Co.

Mr. Ranta holds a BS in Business Administration with a major in Finance from the University of Denver. He is a CFA charterholder.
