Co-Founder and Managing Director
Kirk Lazarine is a Co-Founder and Managing Director for Grey Rock Energy Partners, and he is a member of the Investment Committee. At Grey Rock, Mr. Lazarine focuses on deal origination, due diligence, execution, portfolio management and divestitures. Using networks built a 30+ year career in oil and gas, Mr. Lazarine intends to provide a unique source of deal flow, contacts, and experience.
Previously, Mr. Lazarine has served as CEO of KOR Resources for eight years. Prior to KOR, Mr. Lazarine served at Chevron for 23 years including as a manager for Chevron’s unconventional gas team. Mr. Lazarine has participated in transactions totaling over $650 million of assets across the U.S., including several hundred wells and 650,000 acres. Mr. Lazarine has executed 100+ agreements, including acquisitions and divestitures, leases, JOAs, farm-ins, JVs, and EDAs. Mr. Lazarine led the acquisition of a significant lease position in the Eagle Ford oil window for Bluescape Resources where he worked at length with Matt Miller.
Mr. Lazarine holds a BBA from Southwest Texas State University and a BS in Petroleum Land Management from the University of Houston.
